Can I just check Chimaera wheel offsets please?

I want to fit 17 inch, 7J or 7.5J fronts and 18 inch 8J or 8.5J rears

What are the correct offsets please? Is it 25 front and 33 rear, or is that only for the standard 15/16 configuration?

That`s a hard question , You could run the same offsets . the extra rim width will be equal each side. Or you could drop the bottom shock absorber bolt and lift the upright on a jack to see what space you have ,then work it out from there.

I have a 35 offset on a 8j for the rear ,the 245 tyre just fits inside the arch.

Thanks both, that's useful. For the offset calculator, from where am I starting with the standard wheels, please?
Or alternatively, what is the offset on a standard set of 17 front, 18 rear SP12s ?

Thanks cossers.
I have a sneaky feeling the Sp12s have the ET stamped on them. As they are obviously closer to the outriggers and the wheel arches, and are the same sizes as my intended wheels, they are the better starting point.

He's already fixed my boiler thanks. I was asking about tyre sizes.

I`m no expert ! I make so many balls ups laugh

The problem i have is that bloody near side outrigger, sits close to the wheel than the other side.

I already had a spare set of 17 inch wheels. Looked inside them, ET 18 stamped on all four. Poo! They came off a Chim 500 as well. ET18 makes them sit a tad wide.

Have tried fitting suitable tyres, though the fronts were bigger than ideal. All four catch slightly on the outside edge. But i can only hear the fronts catching. The fronts also catch on full lock, because they are about 5mm too big, which I will change on Monday. The rears catch because the wheels are ET18. The rears are exactly the same diameter as my SP12/888 combo, it's just the offset.

So thanks for advice guys. I will get slightly smaller front tyres on Monday, and will raise the rear ride height a tad.

Just sold the pair of 17"s so other other pair is going on the front and ordered a pair for the rears.

Front 17" 7j with 215/45/17 Federal RSR`s

Rear 17" 8j with 235/45/17 Federal RSR`s

Just hope all the tyres clear , rears 235`s are exactly the same width has my falken 245`s.

A little effort and i have saved a fortune ..

4 wheels cost me £400 with the correct offsets .tyres from Germany which cost me less than £300 for the lot .
