Trinidad car show

I spent today at a great car show out here, few beers in the sun, plenty drifting, sprints and general hooning around.
There was a cracking selection of cars including a stunning orange Aventador.

Looks good Craig! Thinking about buying an old yank tank to drive rather than the Nissan hire car? How do the supercars hand the roads out there?

Nah no yank tanks heading my way anytime soon!
I have shifted from the Nissan in to a new Hyundai Elantra which is a surprisingly good car actually!
No idea about the use of a supercar here, there is only two main highways and both are bursting at the seams with traffic, infact I don't know of a single road that you would have the opportunity to open any car up, there are way too many cars on an island that is only 60 x 40 miles. It took me an hour last week to travel around 5k during the peak times.

oddly enough the best ever breakers yard i have been to was in Trindad. . very slick operation indeed

Yeah it's a full blown race boat, they have a couple of annual events out here, one from Trinidad to Tobago called the great race. I was lucky enough to get a run out in a boat a couple of weeks ago. 30' long with triple 250hp outboards, fast is an understatement!!
Some more images in the link below of the big boats, a lot of them are kept at the TTYC, there literally is hundreds of millions worth of boats down here, the insurance is a lot cheaper than anywhere else in the Caribbean due to being south of the hurricane zone

Was that the big one at Bamboo junction just outside of Port of Spain, loads of jap cars stacked up on shelves?

Could have been, we hadnt long left the airport, so yes i think it was, the shelving was incredible, we got a tip from a guy at Sunday School on Tobago to go there, and sure enough it was spot on, and we got what we needed. The teller behind the security mesh in the 'Pay' booth look amazed as two tourists walked in, classic !!

We Stayed on Tobago for a fortnight, near to Pigeon Point, dont remember the Hotel name, but we were with a group following England playing the W.I at cricket. . .hence the trip to Trinidad
