And the winner is... neither.

The FQ was indeed, FQ. However it did not outbrake the SV as I thought it might, nor did it get away on the straight bits. Had I not held back the joker "bike card", I'd have easily won. But it isn't in my nature to cheat by overtaking into oncoming traffic just to beat a nice car.

Well done fella! hope to meet you on the road sometime in future. Damn nice car too - wish when we stopped to chat that I'd recomended Pistonheads. Good on yer.

Interesting. I think ultimately an Evo would outbrake a bike, but you'd have to be the kind of driver who can use the brakes up to those limits - I certainly can't get every inch of stopping distance out of my Chimaera's brakes...

In a straight run uphill I have to say a FQ340 out dragged me recently, I was impressed with its perfomance, beleive you me I am not easily impressed .

I was recently lucky to have the use of an FQ340 MR for a week. I was absolutely blown away by the performance. Can't comprehend how fast the the FQ400 will be!!!

(Thankfully I wasn't paying for petrol, jeez can that car drink!)
