Ive been to the mini garage today in Doncaster to see if they could give me an idea on a plastic on plastic vibrating noise when accelerating.

They have advised me next to the radiator the rubber piping around the pipe that will need to be replaced but it involves taking the dash apart 2 day job. then the air con will need re-gas and anti freeze.

so they have quoted me nothing to replace the pipe, £75 for re gas and over £800 for the labour as will take about 2 days.

surely there is easy way to replace a pipe? has anyone come across this? Im gonna go a few local garages for them to check out and see what they come up with.

just thought id ask if anyone knows. Thanks in advance

What year Mini is it?

I have a 2007 R56, and it took me ( a complete amateur) about 40 minutes to remove most the dash to install a parrot kit. £800 sounds a little rich, I would get a quote elsewhere....

Sounds like they just don't want to take the job on. £800 is ridiculous... I heard Renault charge £100 for a dash out job, but I did it myself in the end, it's only about 8 bolts.
