Hi All

Chap here says he bought in April last year in the UK (it's currently in France)

Anyone recognise it?

Also, as it has no MOT: how do you get it into the UK? Can you just drive in and tell anyone that asks that you're on your way to get one done?

Don't know the car, but looks an ok spec. It'd be nice to be a 1600 supersport rather than straight 1600. I'm guessing it might be having the 6-speed box as well. If it's 1600SS with apollo, LSD, 6speed box, big brakes, widetrack, then very nice. If it's got all that, in good condition and you negotiate the price into the mid-14s, then could be good!

In the pics interestingly the tyres almost look like slicks.

In terms of driving it back, then book an MoT local to you at home and be driving it to that. You are then able to do it without MoT or Tax.

Hi,

I don't know the car I'm afraid, but the exhaust is the same as mine and I can tell you it's not got a CAT on it so you may have some trouble with the MOT emissions.

When I fitted my four branch manifold I had the old single pipe exhaust modified so that it would fit onto the four branch and therefore retain the CAT.

I guess no cat will be one of the big reasons he could not get it through homologation in France. The 1st step is usually a Control Technique which is a French MOT. You can almost see who the owner is in the picture of the odometer

A Roadsport apparently, but no carpets, no cat, no heater, 6 point harnesses, external ignition cut-off, hole in tonneau for Petty strut and adjustable brake bias valve hint that road use wasn't its first priority.

I've kept my Cat in the original box it came in for the last 5 years and managed to get my R300 through every MOT to date, no Cat shouldnt be an issue.

I thought a brake bias was an MOT fail?
