Very pretty car and quick.

I just hope it's reliable as if so it's a tempting car to buy

Bloody hell that's quick, right up there in £100k supercar territory with the R8, V8V, CLK63 Black.

Not to rain on any Alfist's parade, but it's not that special for a mid-engine carbon bodied, twin clutch supercar. The Megane 265 did it it 8.08 and it weighs a whole lot more, has a manual and only 25 hp more and is based on a French hatchback. Puts things into perspective, doesn't it?

Wasn't that done on R888s, which are basically slicks?

Nope, optional regular tires. At any rate, the Alfa's tires are equivalent to 888s (if not miles better).

So basically the same as a Cayman S. I suppose that's about what you'd expect.

Yes, it is a good time, not exceptional. Power to weight ratio is good but it isn't enough in a track like the ring, I was expecting a time up to 8'10", more would have been a delusion, less than 8 would have been a positive surprise.

It's not a dig at Alfa, just shows how amazing the Renault is.

If the new Clio RS is any indication as to what will come, the new megane is likely to be a bit rubbish!

As long as it's respectable (which it is) it probably doesn't matter that much.
