A little while ago I was trying to upload my site via FrontPage and with some help from you guys managed to do so. Welll I went out and got a book on FrontPage and thought that I would enhance my work (oopps)
I added 'frames' , banner, nav and contents put in a home page etc.... previewed in browser and all worked and looked ok, but when I uploaded it via FTP none of the frames were there and it would only show the index page!!!
What the hell have I gone and done?
I have looked at reports and its saying that the 'frames' are not linked ? could this be the problem? I have saved it all and now at a lost.
Help!

there you go! Nope, you must publish the Frontpage site to the destination. FTP will screw FrontPage sites, as you have discovered!

Use the Publish menu option to upload the site properly and it should be OK.

Oh, and personally I'd steer clear of frames. Unless you really know what you are doing you can end up witha real sows ear, bookmarking pages is difficult, and generally people don't really like them. IMHO!

Your ISP may have an option to "fix" the Frontpage extensions, which probably got clobbered when you did the ftp. Check the admin options with your ISP.
Here's some of the blurb off my ISP's admin pages:

1&1 Internet said:
Microsoft FrontPage Extensions Status
Activate, reset, or disable your MS FrontPage Extensions.
Important: By activating MS Frontpage Extensions you can no longer access your website with FTP. Please disable MS FrontPage extensions to access your website with FTP.
It then gives an option to reset FrontPage status ... you are looking for something like that!

Thanks for your help
I contacted my ISP and they advised to delete everything from the FTP site and then they will reset the extns.

Lets see if that works.
