I have a problem with my wiper blades and I think I have fitted them the wrong way round (the last 2 sets). They judder on the screen and at £80 this is annoying. I have a feeling they may be upside down but I can't see any other way of fitting them. If someone could post a picture of theirs showing the orientation it would be much appreciated. There are not many around to have a squint at.

Forgot this this morning as I woke up later than I'd hoped and had to drop car off at garage at 8am then had a hospital appointment after. Hopefully the car will be ready before it gets dark (if not I'm collecting it tomorrow) and I'll take a picture later.

Sorry mate.

Nope, they really indeed that price. I think it's because the E65s don't have washer jets which go onto the screen but through channels in the blades. Is a very, very good feature and wiper blades last ages anyway...

Thanks guys I parked next to one of the same today and his wipers were exactly the same as mine. The chattering comes and goes. Yes the blades last for a long time I've had these new ones since January and have only fitted them because I had a new screen. The previous ones had done 60K.

The e-bay link looks good for future use. The other thing I se is that the spoiler catches the screen and leaves marks. has anyone experienced this?

I've got an E65 for sale and i've been using it recently. My only dislike about the car is the wipers, they're noisy and after washing the screen water still flicks off the wipers onto the screen (very annoying)

My wipers are silent, but the blades have been replaced not long ago so you probably need new blades. I also get some spray from the wipers come onto the screen after wiping but another couple of flicks and it's all gone so hardly a big issue! Try getting some new blades.

I'd say I'll stop pestering you eventually but we both know that's a lie...

I just replaced the wipers and they're anything but silent. It's not a disaster but it is a bit annoying, seem to make that loud rubbing sound on the way back down.

Not sure why as wipers have always been silent when new for me.

Why would I lie about my wiper blades?

If they aren't quiet when new try polishing the windscreen (not just cleaning, use a glass polish.

It is pretty good if used with the right applicator, yes. Although something like "bar keepers friend" is also very good, but you must rinse it thoroughly and then clean again with some IPA.
