As a project i think £2k is a bit rich, but does anybody know the car, or even better been to see it? Tempted to scrape some money together but really I should keep on saving for a Cerb smile

3 years without a TVR is too long

Hi Mate..Dont know the car but like you say it is a bit spicy for what it is and what needs doing!..The other red one for 3K looks a better car, Or the black one, Which has had a fair bit of work done to it...Cheers..Ziga

I don't know the car but if it's solid underneath and runs ok I think it could be a fair price?

It looks a lot bett value than two 1500 quid jobs I looked at last year.

Go on get a little bit more TVR in your life biggrin

Karl.

Mind you as Zig said for an extra grand or so there are two tidy looking cars there. The black one looks like its had some money spent on it. Not to mention time.

I'm toying with selling mine.. Not 100% but if someone turned up with 2.5k
I'd have to think about it.

If I'm absolutely honest Zig, I think I prefer the older car,
I would love a GT6
I may regret it, cus I do love the wedge, if I could afford I'd have both.
I have a thing for chrome and smiths dials! I know weird! Ha
Like I say, I would have to think, just spent a few quid overhauling the brakes!

Never had a Gt6 but had 8 Spitfires, only two good ones biggrin had a go in aGt6 once though.

Keep the Wedge. No comparison.

Now a TR6 there's a thought don't think I could afford a 5a?

I hear what you are saying mate..I always wanted a MK1 GT6...BUT...Now i have a wedge i feel like im living my youth again..Of course minus the Farah's, Gabicci shirt and gold tip shoes..And i dont think a mullet would suit me now but im there dude...You are probably too young to know WTF I'm on about but if i was driving a Triumph i would definitely be wearing a tweed jacket with leather elbows...Brown leather brogues and smoking a pipe...

I think once you start driving the Wedge more it will get under your skin and in to your blood...Besides try finding a good GT6 for under 5K..I think you will be hard pushed...Ziga

Well I'm approaching 42 so yeah Farah's and Gabicci once hung in my wardrobe,
Not sure about gold tipped shoes, think that's just you Zig, you like yer bling! Ha ha
I think it's cus I'm just about to spend a decent amount of money on a full respray.
I'm getting a good price, from a mate, who's done a few TVRs in the past so knows what he's doing, and I'm pretty sure, when it comes back lookin like new, I'll be over the moon.
But I'm just in two minds, should I sell the wedge and put that money towards a GT6?
That's the question that's keeping me up at night!

Cheers Zig

Has Farrah Gabicci shirts, flared trousers and gold tip shoes gone out of fashion then? Since when?

Though I like the looks of the GT6 as it resembles the E type in some ways, I much prefer the Wedge. I am probably older than most of you and have owned and driven many many different cars. Trust me, there is something addictive about the Wedge that not many cars have. The GT6 is too small, too bumpy and not powerful enough. The Wedge on the other hand, especially the V8, is noisy, powerful, holds the road well, looks unusual to most cars on the road and is just the right size. For me, its the Wedge every time. In my opinion, only one car can beat the outstanding qualities of the Wedge, and that, is the Tuscan S.
