Finally decided life's to short to wait to own a house with a garage to buy a Caterham so I'm purchasing a car cover and going alfresco storage! Hence I'm currently in the market for a supersport/light 140bhp or R300K.

One thing I'm concerned about with the R300 is it's ability to get under most track day noise limits (100db).

Anyone had any issues with static tests or drive bys? Do roller throttle bodies, 4-1 exhaust systems etc affect it's db output significantly enough to avoid them?

My R400 ( K ) is always below 100Db when tested but watch the silencer , you may need to swap for the larger box to be sure .

I've been doing track days for 8 years with 2 of my mates ..both with "standard" R300 k's. They have never had a problem getting under 100Db

My R300k has been a bit marginal a couple times (Donington and Bedford), but repacking the exhaust sorted it out.
