Having some plans for trev over the winter... here's whats being done on the engine:
Installing the mc1 cam kit I bought
Sticking on stage3 big valve heads when they arrive
Ported intake to match the heads and carbon flared trumpets
Heat insulator between plenum and intake
Tin headgaskets to up the compression a bit
Might go for an EFI build if theres cash for it
Its fully decatted now and with a lightened flywheel, should be nice and snappy when all mods are done. When all is done and efi working good, might consider the turbo some time in 2014...
Just wondering if I should do a couple of other mods while at it... like regasketing waterpump/oilpump etc... any tips here?

Mine is to put my 4.6 back together, (wheels, brakes, suspension & seats) give it a good clean up and sell it!
BTW, sounds like a good plan what you,re doing at the moment Ole.
How many miles has the engine done?
If it's a high mileage engine it may be worth new oil and water pumps while you're there.

It's done 51k miles now, cam change feels right... Its serpentine type oil pump, dunno if this is better than the earlier type?BTW, sounds like a good plan what you,re doing at the moment Ole.

Hello my old friend again from far.
Some parts of your project are contraproductive with target - projects for 2014.
With a thin steel head gasket youl will grow up the compression which will be to much
for a later turbo/commpressor.
I work for a compareable project at moment.

But how do i know what comp i have now? 9,35 like the 4.6 or 9,8 because the 3,9 has flat pistons? I am confus...
Carpets out ,going to see if I can get the MGB one`s to fit 
Already got the battery in the boot so the next job is the fuse box to be fitted behind the passenger seat and a new "loom" and get it leaned off in some cruise areas. Runs a bit rich around 13.9 up to 70mph.on low load.
Still got the crazy speedo problem so that needs sorting .
