I was in there last week ;-> Decent homely pub.

It's a little bit down market compared to quite a few Surrey pubs.
Lick of paint and a roaring open fire should fix that.

None of the "4x4 in white with double bling" crowd, thankfully, just a few locals.

It didn't seem all that busy the Monday nite I was in, certainly should
be busier Sat / Sun.

It's right on the A25, so should be a great location.

Dorking's close, and that's a dead posh town, crawling with antique shops
( and a branch of Wickes ) so going upmarket looks the way to go.

It got a recent mention in a Good Beer Guide, so plenty of the beard'n'sandals
real ale mob will be visiting. A few more real ales would get
them even happier.

Have a look at something like the Abinger Hatch pub at Abinger Common,
to see what the competition will be like.
