Hi. I'm looking at getting a decent 20cm chef knife, up to £50. Can any of you recommend a make and an easy to use knife sharpener?
Thanks

Wusthof are good, the Classic range is a nice range of knives.

Depends what you like though. Japanese knives are sharper and can be got back to that sharpness easily for a layman. But I find they are not heavy enough and also the curve of the blade is not ideal for point work.

For sharpening it depends how good you are. Manual is always best but for me again an electronic one is better and quicker.

How many knives do you have? My thoughts are always to have a few but from the same manufacturer so you get the feel.

Good luck !

This looks like a reasonable deal. Although the 3 roller sharpener is preferable.
