Hi
I'm starting my search for a 993. I will drive the car all year round daily. As such, heated seats would be useful! Were they a common option on 96-97 993s? Or am I going to have to post fit?

By the way, the reason I am asking about something so dull as heated seats is that I know enough about the suspension, brake and engine upgrades already!!

Heated seats !! You big Wuss !!

I had them as standard on a Z3M Roadster, only turned them on once - awful things ....

Very, very few IMO.

It was a cost option that few bothered with in the UK.

Looks like you'll just have to store up a fart until the time comes to jump in the car and set off....

find a pair of seats in the right colour from a porsche breaker, or keep an eye on ebay.

i'm on my second LHD 993 and both have had heated seats.

in this weather i use my heated seats when i leave home in the morning and when i leave work at night. EVERY morning and EVERY night.

My LHD 993 is meant to have heated seats, well the switches are there. But it hasn't worked since I bought it and I do miss it on a cold dark wet winter morning, but not enough to spend the time/money to have it fixed.

I wouldn't mind heated seats either but the nice thing with an aircooled car is that the heating is ready only moments after starting up the car.

Very true. And the faint aroma of very hot metal in the air is quite appealing.
