Fitting of jump lead 'plug' into engine bay
Discussion
Had my Griff 500 for a few weeks now and already have fallen foul of the flat battery curse. I've thus purchased one of those tidy devices that hot wire to the battery ( no instructions ), then feeds through to the engine bay to provide an easy access point from which to jump start the car if required.
Firstly, how do I best get the cable through the bulkhead and secondly do I simply drill holes in the engine bay to attach the female coupling within the bay ??
Any help appreciated

Hi, yer I believe it's the Anderson type connector. It was sold to me as an item I fixed in to the engine permanently so all I had to carry around we're the two crocodile clips, thus making life quick and simple. Understand that I may not need to hotwire it to the battery but I still need to secure it somewhere in the engine bay.

The usual installation is to clamp it to the front upper chassis rail, by the radiator.Ant. said:

Heath @Xworks did it for me and I carry Anderson jump leads. Never had to use it yet. But my alternator failed on my Tuscan and ran 30 miles with the RACs battery in the passenger footwell via an Anderson lead

The problem of access to the connector in the engine bay is a cause for concern, you need to get into the car to release the bonnet and also once that's done you need to get in the boot to get the jump leads. Both quite difficult when the battery is flat.
Takes me about 30 seconds
