Where do you buy your rear number plate from

Hi
I'm not a regular poster but hoping someone can help.
I've recently changed the registration number on my Griffith and I was wondering where you all buy your number plates from.
I'm guessing the standard plates don't illuminate the rear number?
Thanks in advance
Lisa
Hi Lisa, you can get them from Fancyplates - http://www.fancyplates.com/index.htmlI'm not a regular poster but hoping someone can help.

Make sure you choose the 'TVR Backlit' type from the dropdown menu for the back and of course standard for front. Do not use standard plates for the back as they have next to no transmission of the light from the lamps behind.
I use them and they are great quality and a good price.
All the best, Pete
Also, get a heat gun and warm the centre section of the plate, moving the plate around over the heat. Start to arch the plate (obviously with the writing on the outside of the curve) and keep applying pressure to the ends until the plate starts to curve and holds its position (you will need two of you, one holding the gun unless you have a stand for the gun). You can be far more aggressive with it than you think. Keep offering up the plate to the body and you will find that you can very easily get a nice, permanent, gentle curve in the plate that matches the curvature of the body. When it fits well just use some thin, number plate double sided strips at each end and a couple of small bits in the middle. It will then stay on no problem at all, and it adds to the clutter free look of the back end, rather than screws. You can use double sided tape without forming the number plate but it is more likely to pop off at one end. See below for finished result.
