Please post (with a brief description) photos, videos, stories..... of epic/iconic moments of cycling. It could even be a worthy personal moment.

Wiggins standing on the top of the Tour podium was mind blowing for me as I've been watching pro racing since the mid 80s and never really thought a Brit could do it.

This footage of Cav destroying everyone on the Champs Elysee in 2010 was ridiculously exciting

Also Dizeee getting stuck in his sweaty jersey hehe

I think for me one of the most memorable moments would be Stephen Roche climbing out of the fog at the top of La Plagne in 87ish. Awesome effort!

Painful, but watching it live it has stayed in the memory ever since.

For me it was Wiggo in yellow leading out Cav in the rainbow jersey onto the Champs Élysées and for Cav to win for the fourth year in a row. Wiggo being the first Brit to win the Tour and Cav the first world champ to win on the Champs Élysées was pretty special.

The tack saga during the 2012 TdF and then Wiggins controlling/slowing the pack so the puncture victims can catch up.

Wiggo crossing the finish line on the TDF time trial. First time he showed much emotion and knew he had done it

He's now fully disgraced and has been exposed for what he really was, but back in 2001 for the great majority of spectators, that was an inconceivable endgame.

His rivalry with Ulrich was always a little one sided - Ulrich could hold his own in the time trials, but his slow cadence Diesel engine couldn't match the snap accelerations on the climbs. This was never more vividly exposed than with "The Look"

I can still recall Phil Liggett's voice, if not his exact words, commentating on this. Something like "Armstrong looks round and says are you coming, and Ulrich isn't!". From the outside, it looked like a seminal moment: a challenge thrown down, but for which the challenged man had simply no answer. On such infinitesimally short moments do Grand Tours hinge.

Subsequently Armstrong disclaimed any such "challenge" ideas. Oh well; perhaps it is more fondly remembered by consigning his disclaimer to the suitcase of lies with the rest of them. For us spectators, it was theatre, sport, drama, and the visual embodiment of decisive dominance. A rare sight.

For icons and iconic moments they don't come any bigger than Greg Lemond and his 1989 Tour win. Reference to Armstrong shooting a look to Ulrich - I was only metres away when they passed together. The speed in which they climbed is something that will stay with me.

I'm gonna go with watching Wiggins and the rest of the Sky team leading Cav out for the sprint to the line on the Champs Elysees.
You could see them lining it up for a few minutes, as the pace grew. By the time Wiggins dropped off and Cav mashed the pedals for the line I was roaring at the telly - something I am not usually inclined to do!

TdF 1989 - Lemond winning by 8 seconds from Fignon.

This was the moment that got me interested in cycling.

Lemond had the TT bike and the helmet, Fignon had the rat tail and a proper bike.
