I'me being sent off on training but if anyone can help me if I have an issue it would be useful to know.

Ooooohhh you are going to be popular with the Linux crowd :-)

Not a user, but getting onto the Unix forums is proabably your best bet, I'm always amazed at the ingenuity and sheer techi-ness of the guys working with Unix.

Neil...

I have been using SCO Unix System V for, well, ever. I know the basics (editing termcaps, vi, what files control what on startup, add-subtract users, security basics).

I also use SCO AFPS (Advanced File and Print Server/Service) so that my Windows LAN can work and play well with SCO.

If you are a Windows person - managing through the GUI is probably going to be easier. Also HP put a nifty little software piece in there for network printing.

Personally I can't wait for the 1 remaining application on this dinosaur to be migrated to something a little more modern... If I can be of any help, email me.

PS: was going to reply with:

# wall I know Unix [enter]

...but didn't know how many would get it...
