Hi,

Currently thinking of changing our nice car (have a comuter shed as well) to either a c63 saloon/estate or m3 saloon.

Budget wise I have around £25k to spend which seems to buy either cars. Cost wise how do they compair to run?

Anybody had both and offer any opinion on which thy would choose. I am going to test drive both but if like other peoples opinion!

The car will do about 7k per year mostly family trips out.

Thanks!

Ahh yes I do love computer sheds!

M3 is probably technically better in most ways... But I'd sooner have an AMG. The saloon is stunning to look at!

C63 looks like any other body kitted merc to the untrained eye, not very special IMO, not for that money anyway.

Driven / passenger in M3 (coupe), bit dull (although taking the rear section of the exhaust off helped for one trip...hehe)

Passenger in a C63, giggled like a child constantly.

I'd take the MB no question. The estate for me too biggrin

C63 all day every day. Just for that noise alone.

Everything else mentioned could easily fk up your wallet. Worth the risk.

C63 handles badly but sounds epic - likes a drink.

The m3 - well it's a v8 m power engine and a bmw - handles like a dream with a lower centre of gravity.

M3 all day, every day!

I know which of the 3 I'd want to take by the scruff of the neck for a blast.

C63 for the sound, M3 for everything else.

My M3 has been reliable and MPG is good for what it is.

Not long until the new c class and the BMW m4 and m3 so I would wait until these are on or near to being launched and then buy a c63 or m3.

Personally I would go for a c63

I've owned both, and my advice for you would be to buy a C63 AMG with an AMG diff lock.
The M3 does handle a little better but that's about it. The AMG is a better car in every other aspect.

My mate has just got rid of his c63 Amg and oh my good god that noise! We took it out round the Yorkshire dales for the day, over buttertubs pass about 4 or 5 times just epic, so fast and that noise is just pure hero.
