"...Replying to Tory party vice-chairman and former shadow Welsh secretary Mr Evans, Mr Brunstrom said: "I think you are right to say I have, in your terms, an obsession with speeding - I am proud of it."

"Three thousand, five hundred people die on our roads each year and something ought to be done about it..."

He's trying (of course) to link the deaths with the speed at which the vehicles involved (must have?) been travelling.

Does he just not understand, in which case he's a fool who should not be in the job, or is he a deceiver with a more sinister agenda, in which case he should not be in the job.

Earlier this year, Mr Brunstrom's policy on drugs attracted attention when he said he was prepared to see drugs such as heroin openly on sale because drug laws were doing "more harm than good".

Unbelievable, the fact that this man even has a job with the police is a joke, I wouldn't trust him to empty my bins. Do you imagine he would appreciate drugs being sold outside his house?

Maybe he would have a different attitude if there was a skag-cam that made £60 every time somebody shot up Of course if it is too hard to enforce then why not legalise it, he could legalise burglary whilst he's at it, I understand his force also has problems with that. Nobjockey

You should hear what his extended family think of him and no prizes for guessing it isn't complimentary

I have this vision of the film 1984 with John Hurt with the rats cage strapped to his face. "How many fingers am I holding up?" "Is speeding bad?"......

What, and ruin your swing for the rest of the season?
He's not worth it.
What we should do is get together with something unintrusive but rapid, like an old Audi 80 Quattro or M535, fit it with VASCAR and a video camera and track him for a month; then send the evidence complete with two witness statements to the DPP, yeah just like his own Trafpol do to you, and insist that they prosecute him or you'll go to the News of the World.
Problem solved, arsehole removed!
By the way I'll do the engineering on the car for nothing with the greatest of pleasure.

That would do no good - he'd simply be investigated by one of his mates on another Force. Remember, "The Sun" twice caught his daughter speeding and she got off because the laser operators were civilian and therefore not trained to a sufficient standard.
This guy is a nutter, he raids a local Councillor's house, investigates and fingerprints his own bosses (North Wales Police Authority).

No, you're not getting this LUNARSCOPE. You would not complain to the Police about him.
You would present a case against him as a speeding motorist with a month's accrued evidence of him speeding under normal conditions, not pursuit or emergency situations, directly to the DPP. They would then have to justify to the media why they made the decision not to prosecute him if indeed they decided not to.
If they did this you just go out once again for another month and present the evidence once more; if they didn't prosecute this time you go to the Lord Chancellor.
Leave him with nowhere to run to.
