Looking for 6 pot or large 4 pot calipers. There's several makes out there, any will do as long as they will work on 345mm x 32mm disc.

Looked on the ebay and people are paying silly money for old Brembo's when they could get a new pair of Ap's for they same price.

Does any one have a pair of calipers or good priced suppliers.

Is it for a race or track car?

Its for fast road hill climb, so the pistons have to have seals.

The Ap 7040's were a caliper I was after, but new there £291+vat. So that's not a great saving.

I'd go with the APs, got the 7040 6 pots on my Escort & the 5200 4 pots on my Sapphire, both outstandingly capable & never fade.

Serious question, why do you need 6 pots, are they going onto a heavy car? There is no noticeable difference between 6 & 4s IMHO, the 6's just look better wink

There's not many calipers that work on 345mm x 32mm disc. That's the only reason. The car is only about 1300kg.

I think Hi-spec do a 4 piston caliper ( monster 4 pot) that fit, other than that there's not many. They do work out reasonably priced, £217 each, just over £500 for the pair delivered.

So with that in mind, i don't want to spend over the odds on used caliper

To be honest I am with will, the car is light so therefore 4 pots more than capable, however I would avoid hi spec, comp brake etc, go for APs and don't bother wasting cash on other stuff, buy once but right

5200s are very good aslong as they fit that disc size

CP5200 are to small for the disc otherwise they would be fine.

One direction would be to go for the Brembo's from the Audi's.
