Cold feet - overshoes or socks?
Discussion
Quite happy with my winter wardrobe - but i get really cold feet!
Wearing shimano clipped shoes - tried thin socks, thick socks, walking socks and football socks. But as soon as i get a bit wet they are freezing!
So i have been advised to get either over boots or seal skin socks - any advice?

Both. Keep the wind (i.e. cold) out with a pair of windproof overshoes (Gore Windstoppers work VERY well), and keep the warmth in with thicker socks (DeFeet Woolie Boolies are perfect). Avoid neoprene overshoes as they'l make your feet sweat horribly (and sweat = wet = cold.)
EDIT: SealSkin socks are a bit s
te. Nowhere near breathable enough. For off road I'd get a pair of proper winter boots. On the road, overshoes are good but they tend to fall apart. I use Castelli Narsacista which are thick and very well made - they've survived two winters. I've tried Selskinz socks but they're so thick they don't work with my wide feet and most cycling shoes.
Cold feet/hands are as much about circulation as what's covering them. Don't do the shoes up too tight and keep your core warm, I find this helps.
