so, after being to see a very nice Cerbera in Cheltenham this morning i now know that i want one.

Thanks very much to James for taking the time.

Now i need to look at all my options.

I have seen on previous threads that there are more cars potentially for sale than the ones in the classifieds.

No real fixed budget, but obviously the more i pay, the more i want for my money. :-) But not the crazy £34,000 concours one....!!!!

What is out there please?

Pete

I'm sure he's going to read this and if he bites and you buy your buying quality. If nothing sparks up in a day or so I will point him to this post.

The Cerbs in the classifieds appears to give a lot of choice for all options from £10k up and some beauties at about £22k. 14 V8s to choose from.

My old car is up for sale.

I have no doubts whatsoever that whoever buys it will be getting a superb car, I can honestly say it wanted for nothing in my ownership and the new owner was exactly the person you'd want to sell your p&j to.

I even got the first refusal, but sadly i'm committed to a Camper, so it's come a few years too early for me frown

I was just in the process of drafting an advert for my true Lightweight (one of only 6), with a factory built Red Rose engine
and Sagaris spec brakes.

It won't be cheap though; especially as I'm looking for an excuse not to sell it.

How much do you want to spend?

This is mine: http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/t...

It seems to be suffering because it's up for £10k........maybe I should ask more

It's exactly like the ad says.

Right then.....!!!!! So i have been offered/pointed in direction of quite a few Cerberas, ranging from £9500 up to £23000.

2 very nice Blue ones , both with chassis refurbs and both around the same price. Just not sure i really want Blue.

A very nice ruby pearl one ( not seen in flesh yet ) that is high on my list of possibles.

The £10000 Green one mentioned above could be a really nice car and if i was 10 years older the classic racing green may poss appeal more ( the seller puts his age in the advert and he is actually 10 years older than me :-) )

One of my main problems is that i hate Beige interiors and most Cerbs seem to come with them. So first job will have to be a complete re trim so will look for someone local next week.

If the interior isnt beige then the miles are too high.!

The £23k car is the red one on TVR Powers website marked as sold, the new owner is now selling. Bloody great car, but everything is already done and nothing left for me to stamp my own identity and create my own Pride and Joy.

I absolutely love the £24k one in the classified's with only 12000 miles on, love the interior, but its more of a museum piece and far too original for me. I want some newer/ upgraded bits somewhere.

So thats my ramblings so far.!!

What's too high??

I wouldn't get hung up on mileage, these cars can suffer if they're not used.
