On Noble media coverage here in the USA, starting this Friday, November 5th through the 14th at the Miami Beach Convention Center, the annual Miami International Auto Show will be held.
1G will have I beleive 3 cars on display on Millionaire Alley between Ferrari and Lambrigini's displays, as well as 1 demo car for test drives by appointment. Will be an intersting mix for sure and excellant exposure as my car is only the second 3R in the state !
Looking forward to that, as my 2004 3R will be displayed as part of the line up....... !!
Try to attend if you are in the area.

That's exactly the reason I beleive, the GT racer had to have its gearbox changed every time out and Lee's done his so the 6 speed box must be marginal beyond 400 hp.
There are also other spin off benefits I would suspect.
But again if doing this why not swop in "Christine" whilst you're spinning the engine. A proper race engine, smaller, dry sumped, seq gearbox, reduced complexity and weight savings to boot with unknown outputs available with forced induction.

Paul C

Whats Christine?
Agree that a dog box seems a sensible option in a race car. Isn't part of the problem that there are power limits in the race series, so they end up increasing torque but cutting revs to get around this (with obvious consequences for the gearbox)? Vaguely remember someone mentioning this wrt to the rollcentre one?
I just Googled and found the site but no article, only a tasty picture of the M14. They are showing the November issue and I presume the article is in December!

Paul/Dan/Nathan,
We're entering one car at Donington this Saturday.
No need to get too excited about the in-line installation: our race car is very much a technology test-bed for the M14, so this configuration is to be trialed under race conditions to see how it performs. In no way does it herald a new design philosophy at Noble - in fact, it may end up as an effective way of improving the race car, but not much else....

The car review says it all.....
Still bemused that the car that had the best overall performance didn't win "Performance" car of the year....![]()
Apparently the Porsche had cup holders and that finally swung the vote....![]()
allegedly apparently, over heard in a pub, maybe.....

To be fair they were pretty explicit about what criteria they were using so the conclusion seemed fair enough. The track analysis bit was incredibly flattering to the m400 though so the right kind of buyer will get the message.
