.......right then, me and couple of mates are gonna to be turnin' over our local hight street bank in the next couple of weeks and we want some advice on a tasty set of wheels. Criteria are, 4 seater with decent oddment storage for stockings, holdalls and sawn offsshoot, reasonably discrete AND something reasonably low on emissions, as we feel the blagging community should be doing its bit to help the environment. Budgets not really problem cos we're gonna nick aint we? Any suggestions would be welcome, but please avoid any stereotypes about MK11 Jags, cardboard boxes/sweeny etc, cheersthumbup

No bad boy image but ...Toyota Auris hybrid, you can turn up to do the place over in total silence, dont forget, wear trainers, no conversation between yourselves and just PUSH the doors shut, dont latch them..

Am I the only one hoping that a bank robbery will be committed in the next few weeks and the getaway car will just happen to be a hybrid? I find it the thought of the police coming down on the OP's house like a ton of bricks slightly amusing considering he's just tried to make asking for enviromental advice slightly less shameful hehe

Lexus RH450, coolish Hybrid and still got some real go, failing that a Nissan Leaf but make sure your route can't involve a high speed police chase as grinding to a halt because the batteries are flat would be a tad embarasing.

Got to be a Tesla Model S.

Room for 4, big boot, M5 rivalling performance, just hope that the police chase doesn't last for more than 200 miles!

The Auris is a good shout; it's so dull looking, it'll blend in nicely (same goes for the Prius). Whereas something like the Ampera is still quite a rare and unique looking car.

If you plan a bank job in a Auris, your acquaintances from the underworld will laugh you out of East London. You need a black metallic/black leather/privacy glass Panamera Hybrid with the 21 inch Turbo wheels. Failing that, go for the ultimate double bluff with a Prius fitted with a AMG V12 bi-turbo. Now that would be an episode of "Police Camera Action" I'd like to see!

McLaren P1. Anything that can do the ring in 6 minutes 39 seconds has got to be a good bet.

Good shout - apart from the 4 seats & storage space.

I'd go for the Lexus LS600H - big, powerful, discrete & congestion charge exempt.

Nick four then - Stuff goes in boot and passenger seat. (Lets face it, if you can source 1 P1 you can source 4...)

Not exactly the car for blending in the background in although it would make for an excellent news story!

Until the arguing started on here about how much faster they would have got away had they been in a 458 & then someone claiming they should have had MX5s as nothing is quicker in the real worldlaugh

A black Prius, but it also needs one of those London taxi symbols in the back window, then you can just mix it up with all the other black Prius taxi's in London - no need for a get away, just confuse the police by being like all the others... Then leave later on when the coast is clear
