So what carb have I got then?

I'm a bit stuck for identifying a carb that I've been given. It's a generic SU type, but has no serial number on it at all. Can someone comfirm my decuctions below based on internet research?
- It has "AUC 1310" written on the float bowl which is attached directly to the carb body (no adaptor), both the code and the mounting suggest it is an HS float bowl?
So it would be reasonable to assume therefore that it is an HS2, 4, 6 or 8.
- It has a 1.4" inlet diameter, and the dashpot is held on by 3 screws. The HS2 is 1.25", 2 screws, the HS4 is 1.5", 3 screws. The HS6 and HS8 are bigger again.
Therefore it seems to be an HS4?
Finally, could anyone put a value on it for me? Prices on ebay seem to be all over the place.
Everything on the carb appears to be present and correct and working properly, though I have not had it on an engine to test it. It is a little grubby in the nooks and crannies but nothing a toothbrush and some Gunk wouldn't sort out. It is also fitted with a 45degree inlet adaptor to mate it to the Rover 2.25 downdraft engine as a semi down, semi sidedraft unit.

Contact Burlen Fuels of Salisbury - send them a pic and I'm sure they'll identify the unit. If it's a rarer type they also buy carbs' for refurbishing. It's worth taking a look at their technical pages here http://sucarb.co.uk/technical-hs-type-carburetter-... to see if this is what you have. As a note, never spec' an SU by the type of oil plunger cap, brass or plastic, as they're readily available and many a carb' has had their cap changed to look older than they really are.
