Recommended Books on Reliant's history

Was wondering if anyone else has read and can recommend either The Reliant Three-Wheeler 1935-1973 / The Reliant Three Wheeler 1973-2002 by Elvis Payne and Stuart Cyphus or Rebel without Applause by Daniel Lockton (http://danlockton.co.uk/rebel/rebel_intro.html)?
Am interested in reading about the history of Reliant though while Rebel without Applause gives information on the 4-wheeled Reliants up to the mid-70s (with a 2nd book in development), it seems that the latter was only produced in limited numbers with the result being that the cheapest book is £159.99 on Amazon.
Though both Reliant Tree Wheeler books obviously does not focus on 4-wheeled Reliants, they are by far the cheapest and most recent compared to Rebel without Applause and unlike the latter they are complete books.

Reading-wise, what I am after is information on Reliant's stillborn styling mock-ups / prototypes / etc or something that is not widely known about Reliant (e.g. did they consider replacing the Austin 7-derived 598-848cc engine for something else?).

It would be worth your while contacting Dave Poole who has a website. Although his main interest is the GT cars he has lots of material from Reliant and may be able to point you in the right direction. As for little known facts about Reliant there is the involvement in the Cipher sports/kit car project which was based on a Kitten chassis.
