should i change???
Discussion
Hello everyone,
I currently drive a 2006 Astra sporthatch 1.9 cdti 150 which has been remapped to 205 bhp and i am considering changing it for a 54 plate civic type r, i like my car and everything the only reason i am considering changing, i kind of miss the sound of a good petrol car and like the sound of the high revving type r and the other factor is i kind of wish my car handles a bit better its no bus but not on the same league as a type r,
I have found a civic type r on a 54 plate and would like to know a few things, is the 54 plate the facelift?
also it has 111k miles with fsh, providing it doesn't smoke and gearbox is smooth would this put anyone off?
i only do 7k miles a year so mpg isn't too much of an issue but i am hoping to average at least low 30's
What do you guys think, keep my astra with 82k miles on or change to type r?????

If you want a good-handling petrol hatch, the Type R ticks all the boxes and the gearbox is sublime sop changing up and down is no chore but rather a pleasure.
I'd test drive one and see if it's for you, first. I loved ours and the facelift was in 2004 and there was a surfeit of pre-regs at the time.
I'd probably look for lower miles myself but I'm sure that's just my old-fashioned fear of high mileages.
