Years ago, I used to interview raw grads for telesales roles (I'd typically interview 10+ / month). To be honest, you can figure out whether they are the right fit and have the right attitude pretty quickly. I'd always be a lot more interested in what they did during their year out / holidays than their degree itself. A bright person shines through an the job of the hiring manager is to get beyond that and understand their real drivers.

Note that this was a role that didn't require a professional qualification, though

Your CV should outline your qualifications. The employer may ask for a copy for their records if you get the job. They're not judging you on qualifications alone!

I've never been asked for my degree certificate. I don't actually know where it is. A C.V. should be brief and free of clutter. Including your degree details in it should be sufficient; at most all that should be included with a C.V. should be a cover letter unless anything else has been requested.

Think of it this way - the only purpose of a CV is to get you an interview. Does attaching more documents help with this?
