As per title, will need a transponder for next year. Hard-wired is fine, will be going in a saloon car.

AMB? TSL?

Help!

You can rent them for each weekend for £30 from TSL if they are timing your meeting.

Thanks.

I don't mind buying one, just not sure which one.

They are more or less the same thing. I've had a rechargeable one for years but it does get to be a pain especially when I forget to charge it and it takes almost 24 hours from completely flat. I have however just bought a wired in one S/H for the bargain price of £50

Although TSL seem to be getting stroppy about renting them now. I've had a lecture the last few times I've rented!

Can't understand why. They turn up to every race with a suitcase full of them specifically for renting. They can also arrange refurbishment if yours is on the blink.

I switched to a hard-wired one this year - saves farting around remembering to charge it.

Having forgotten to charge a transponder several times, I would recommend a hard wired one unless you are racing several cars and want to move transponder from car to car.

74 pence and a KitKat Chunky.

Send me your address and I'll send the above first class.

Stick on ebay at the beginning of next year.

Just after Christmas? With all that Chocolate floating around. Not the best time to sell a KitKat Chunky!
