Hugh Grant's Vanquish

Ed Moore of Motorsport Events recently appeared in the Daily Mail in his role as Performance Driving Specialist for Aston Martin Lagonda. Ed was showing Hugh Grant the controls of his brand new £168,000 Vanquish in London.

Ed took the wheel first with his famous passenger listening attentively, before handing over to Hugh and spending time with him to help him get acclimatised to the car. London isn't exactly an ideal location to get used to a 460bhp car and the training was brought to a slightly premature end, when the paparazzi caught up with Grant in London's Park Lane.

That blokes an utter gimp. He just falls into the category of "Twats in Fast Cars".

On a similar note, the other day on the M3 I saw a fat bloke driving an F355, in the inside lane at 50mph, mobile phone clamped to ear.

And his bonnet wasn't down properly so either it was on the catch or he's nudged the front of it...

Nearly cried.. this bloke should have been in a Volvo..

It always amazes me that Gimps like HG get paid vast amounts of $$$ £££ for making total crap movies , one recomendation is if he is in a film dont bother .

No, but as a convertible, it has a lot of 'head' room

If he was on the phone I'm glad he was in the inside lane at 50...

You'd think that if he could afford to run a 355 a hands free kit wouldn't be a problem. On the other hand, would it eat into his pie budget?

Good point Ted, but for whatever reason I just found the whole sight inordinately depressing..

If I had a 355, it wouldn't matter what I did with me mobile - wouldn't be able to hear the thing

It is always interesting what car people for whom money is no object choose to buy. Personally I think that little sh*t from jamiroquai is objectional with his Ferrari 575 and (newly bought) Spyker Spyder and goodness knows what else. At least Hugh Grant has the sense to buy one decent well designed car - actually I think the kid in his latest film convinced him to get it, according to the media reports.
