Winter car choice?

Hi I currently have a stty vauxhall corsa which I resent driving but I brought it for cheap when the head gasket went on the mx5. The mx5 should be fixed on sunday and I would like to put it back on the road and sell the corsa but thinking about the coming winter and a possibility of snow which do you guys think will be better in the snow a stty 1.2 fwd vauxhall corsa or a mx5 mk1 1.6 with a bit of weight in the boot and a pair of snow tyres on the back?

Put some winters on the 5, bin the horrid Corsa. Dab of oppo all winter.

The MX5 will rust, seemingly regardless what you do. Get rid of the corsa, get a set of winter wheels/tyres for the MX5 and enjoy yourself.
