I'm with Zurich Private clients. I don't know off hand what I pay, but around £1100 I think for the Murci and 2 other cars. I cannot recommend them high enough.

The problem I have now is that when I get the murci back it's gonna feel really really slow. The McClaren is like a bullet!

I hardly think the OP is considering it a problem!

My god, hope the massive claim cost stays with the private policy holders and not the rest of us lowlife

Bloody ridiculous, though nice for OP

I had a non fault shunt a few years ago, the insurance policy offered an equal litre car to my own, they had a 911 or gallardo but both were out, they would of hired another similar vehicle for me if I waited a few days. Ended up with a sporty merc convertible for 3 weeks which was trailered 100 odd miles to my door

I choose my policy's carefully, I wanted like for like, and other features that mainstream companies like Admiral probably don't offer. I had the choice of several cars. A 458, California, bentley GT, a Gallardo of some description and a few others.
I would not normally make a claim for something so minor, but the knackered wheel that the drunken lowlife scum caused, and then decided to flee the scene after being requested to stop, is going to cost his insurance company a pretty penny, and most probably a criminal conviction. I have paid top rates for my insurance policies over many years and never ever made a claim, so I would think I most probably have contributed a fair amount to subsidising many payouts myself.

Got a similar policy myself and I ended up with a new 430 Spider when the TR needed some bumper repairs a few years back. The TR was my daily car at the time, so it was needed. I don't skimp on "cheap" insurance, not worth it.

Was not criticising you just the system, and I hope the idiot does get convicted. I have been the victim of prangs and been given an M3 and an RS4 as like for like courtesy cars and been very happy. However my claim on other insurer went from £800-1000 for a panel repair/respray to £4-5k due to £350+ per day of hire car for 2 weeks. I was not on a premium policy and I suspect everyone gets to pay through higher premiums in the end, I suspect its the same for your insurer too.

How long will you have the 12C for? At what - £2k per day cost?

I see notching wrong with getting a like vehicle. Why shouldn't he. Premiums are up because of uninsured inverse and ambulance chasing fraud.
