My friend tried this in Japan. Quite nice apparently. Not sure I could bring myself to eat it even if it was guaranteed 100% free from Salmonella - the texture would have me spewing instantly. vomit

Nope!

sorry, I just could not eat it, even if it was killed and cut up and served in front of me, as it will not have salmonella in it then, just because i don't even like steak that is bloody.

I've tried chicken biltong. It's ok.

It's alright actually, didn't go much on the chicken gizzards though..

The raw horse was the best stuff I tried, the worse was the giant sea snails but all in all you have to give this stuff a pop! The sashimi was amazing, I prefer raw mackerel to cooked for example.

Last time I was in Japan I finally tracked down some torisashi, having been looking for it for ages. Was a bit of a let down, just rather boring. Sashimi is much more interesting
