just bought a tasmin 350i and the temp gauge reads high, not to worry it just reads high engine running at correct temp. Oil pressure gauge running higher than it should as well, smiths gauges i believe and i am wondering if it sounds like a voltage regulator to you and it does to me. If so is it in the same area as gauges and where do i get replacement.

There's no regulator fitted which is the main problem

whats common is a fitting a resistor in line with the temp sensor to correct the gauge reading from memory about 100ohms - may be best to use a rheostat to find what works and then fit an appropiate resistor in the harness

you can do the same with the oil pressure
