So this is a rough drawing of our drive.

Its a narrow road, this corsa has been parking infront of our drive and i left them a nice note saying its very difficult to park on our drive with them parking there.

Well this evening, this happened

Your pic shows a yellow line on both sides of the road. What parking restrictions are in force?

Driving in and out of the drive can be a a 3 or 4 maneuver to into the drive, we have only lived in the house now 5 Days!

So i left a note Saturday asking him not to park there as its difficult

The wife this evening reversed and could swing back so went back and forth a couple of times until hitting the pillar on the wall outside the house.

I would like to know if legally he can park there or not
How do i find out about parking constrictions,

Thanks

Here is the legal blurb.

A single yellow line is a road marking that is present on the side of the carriageway in the United Kingdom. It indicates that parking or waiting at that roadside is prohibited at certain times of day. The exact times vary by area and are indicated by signs at the roadside. Stopping to load and to pick up or set down passengers is generally allowed unless additional restrictions apply.

So it will depend what it says on the sign. Inconsiderate neighbour though.

As already said, the signs for the yellow lines will say when he can and cannot park there.

So in answer to your question, it depends what time it is.

No i cant reverse into the drive in either direction approaching the drive.

Non of the street lights have signs on stopping or parking your vehicle

I also found this, does this coincide with my issues?

Vehicle accesses PRIORITY
1
Mainly prevention of obstruction to private
driveways that have yellow line restrictions.
This is particularly important where
residents are in the process of trying to
enter or exit their premises. Dealing with
obstruction of dropped kerbs.
Other footway obstruction without yellow
line or other restric

Looking at that Streetview shot, it appears to be damn near impossible to park on-road without being opposite _somebody's_ drive.

Having said that, whilst it's not ideal, it doesn't appear to leave you in THAT bad a situation. You should be able to get in and out relatively easily.

does that really say 11am-12 noon? Does that mean you CAN'T park there from 11am-midday Mon-Fri or you can ONLY park there between those times?

Seems strange.

Quite a common restriction, as it prevents commuters ditching their cars on residential streets.

It's not that tight. Learn to park! I could park a van in there with no problems.

Assuming that sign refers to the side of road he was parked on, no it does not help you.

The car is legally parked at all times out with 11am -12pm. I am guessing that restriction is in place to prevent commuters parking there all day.

I would remove the pillar and fence between you and your neighbour so you can swing in and out easier.
