Hi.

Organising a group event for a group of mates that havn't hooked up in a few years.

We are going Clay shooting in Lymmington, as one of them lives in the New forest and we will likely crash at theirs.

Im looking for good pubs/ Restraunts for afterwards that would accommodate a group of 12 or so.

Nothing too flash, more traditional would be better, but I dont know the area, so was hoping for some gems from you guys.

Many thanks.

Not Lymington but not far away in Brockenhurst, this place is fabulous

Just about big enough to accomodate 12 of you.

I grew up in Lymington, so know it pretty well. To be honest, there aren't that many great places there (particularly on the High Street) as most tend to cater towards visitors.

If it were me, I would be looking to go to:

The Chequers (it's only small so worth booking and the owner can be a little prickly)

Fleur de Lys, Pilley

The Pig, Brockenhurst

The Haven, Lymington Yacht Haven

The Kings Head

Stanwells Bistro

This, I went there with mates for my 40th, it is amazing, and pretty reasonably priced too.

On the quay?

Really? You can do so much better than that there

Thomas Tripp. A pub on Station Road. It's good, but a bit "clattery" unless it's full

Essentially we've been no help to the OP.

My 2p worth. If you want central Lymington with decent food at reasonable prices and hot waitresses then go for The Ship on the quay.

Elsewhere will be full of ponce.

My vote is for the Silver Hind @ Sway (used to be the Nurses Cottage)
Friendly drinker great food.

Right by the station so you can always hop on the rattler, last train back is 9.30pm however.
