Hello all.

I am currently at an HGV dealership in North Yorkshire and I'm interested in doing a bit of supporting/spannering at some amateur events.
I've found the Malton car club which is, relatively, local.
Can anyone offer any pointers/advice/tips etc?

Thanks, Stuart.

Sign up to the British Rally Forum. There will be plenty of competitors in your area that you can meet. Best to shadow a team first to see what is involved (both in the garage beforehand and out at the service area).

I'd be expecting to spend quite some time at the slower pace before and after an event!
Thanks for the forum tip - I'll do a bit of searching now.

best way is to find and go to your local MSA Car Club.....there will probably be more than one. Also different clubs major interest may be differing forms of motorsport too (Racing / Rallying / Sprints+Hillclimbs / autocross etc). Where in N Yorks are you based?

Wife's in the Air Force so I'm at Leeming. Currently working at a local Volvo truck dealership.

Hi
you have a choice of two local to you

Ripon Motorsports Club and Northallerton Motor Club

both into rallying...ages since I've been to either so can't comment about them.

Visit their web sites and then visit them.

We're planning to do the Riponian Rally in February, you can tag along as part of the team and get to know what it's all about.

Northallerton stage sounds promising - thanks for the heads up.
