Remote Extender
Discussion
Hi All,
Just moving house and would like my DVR, DVD/Surround Sound and Xbox hidden this time. All Panasonic so has Viera link to a degree but what remote extender would be suitable for this? There lots on eBay, mainly from Hong Kong etc very cheap and lots that seem to do a lot more than I want them to..
Put simply, what the cheapest way of sending an IR signal from near my TV to in a cupboard?
Also, Anything that could arrive by Saturday would be ideal!!
Thanks

I bought an el cheapo one off ebay for about a tenner, comes with IR repeaters for up to 4 devices and capacity for another 4 although god knows where you get the repeaters from. It's powered off a USB adaptor, the usb adaptor provided was a 2 prong one but i had a spare one already which works ok. It does a good job and hasn't burnt the house down yet 6 months in.

That's what I've got (or one that looks very similar), it just sits under the TV cupboard with a wire going into the cupboard and the little transmitter things in front of the devices (Sony blu-ray player and Humax Freesat box) inside. The only issue I've had is that the remote for my blu-ray player won't work with the cupboard door open.Would this do? I can pick one up this evening if so
