I currently have three cars (Aston Martin DB9, BMW X5 40d M Sport and a Mini Cooper D) all insured individually with the same insurer. I'm pretty sure I could be saving some money somewhere on insuring these all on one policy (if possible)...

Any suggestions?

Thanks

I use Admiral and the prices seem quite good. Direct line also offer multicar discount but their rates were not competitive for me.

I gave up looking for a multicar policy for my two. All the quotes I got were more than it cost to insure them both individually. That was for an Audi A4 and an old Range Rover.

Thanks folks...seems like there is not much to be saved then.

There often isn't much to be saved on low value multi-car policies. For instance if Policy 1 costs £300 and Policy 2 costs £250, then a 10% multi-car polcy saving on Policy 2 only equates to £25. More often than not you can find a better deal elsewhere for Policy 2.

Genuine multicar policies work better with half a dozen plus vehicles. Then benefits are mainly not having to adminster 6+ policies but getting a genuine 10-15% multicar discount on 6 policies and a 15-30% scheme discount. Proper multicar policies will give max NCD on nearly all vehicles on the basis that only 1 or two will be driven and the biggest Brucie Bonus will be being able to drive most cars on Driving Other Cars extension with full Comprehensive cover (normally limited to equivalent group/value of the most expensive car on your own policy).

Admiral were quite good and insured 3 cars over 2 people for a fairly good price.
They lost me when the premium went of by £150+ for a speed awareness course.

I've moved to Aviva now.
A very similar price, but they aren't quite as happy to match ncb discounts.

I know Heritage who usually do classic cars have a multi car team. It's a bit more one-to-one service than the big players and have access to specialist insurers. Website at http://www.heritage-quote.co.uk/multi-car-policy.c...
