I've made initial enquiries on that car and the answers back are all good. One fly in the ointment is that it's 265 miles away. Which is a very long test drive in a heavily modded car. The other thing is my lack of mechanical knowledge if it needs anything more than a bit of tinkering. But yes, a very interesting car.there is a red 400se on ebay

I used to own No.9 and indeed it is a very special car. It has a well tuned V8 developments engine and is frightfully powerful. So much so, that performance wise, I would put it in the 420 SEAC league, and its had some cosmetic improvements since my ownership. On the downside, it's not original, as it has been highly modified.
Right now, I own No.20, which also is an outstanding Wedge with a shed load of history. It's a rare car, as rumour has it, it's the only 350SE with a 3.9 big valve engine from new. I bought this car recently to satisfy my TVR urges during my search for a Tuscan, which is the car I've been itching to buy for a while now. I have a feeling, my dream may turn to reality real soon. So, click on my name and take a look at the picture. Then, if you're interested pm me. You never know, it could be your lucky day and possibly within your budget.

or a 400 with good chassis and oily bits but tatty body I can do up as I go along. Standard 350's a bit underpowered for my liking.
