Are the front dampers from a Cortina?
If so what mrk?

No, the dampers / springs are particular to TVR. Certain other suspension components are mk iv / v Cortina.

Hi Mate…(As already said)..The front and rear suspension were TVR specific..I believe RT racing has the original spec type..Not sure about upgrades…Ziga

Just to be more complete, I believe that Cortina dampers will actually fit, but their rates are not correct for the wedge.....

Cortina shocks will fit but are different settings but why would you replace with originals when better are available?

Hi Jon..Would you know what would be a good replacement with correct spring rates?..I haven't seen a great deal of info posted up as regards to suspension upgrades, Just horror stories of coil overs!..Cheers..Ziga

I found that Cortina shocks had been fitted to my coupe when I bought it you will find that the Cortina shocks are longer than the tvr ones

All sorted
Just ordered two adjustable damper made to order for a Tasmin from a guy who knew the car.
Two week wait but only £60 each.
"absolutely shocks"

Now have:
new dampers
discs
pads
s/s brake lines
n
Ball joints
Bearing
track rod ends
poly bushes
callipers

Jobs done all new

Busy Saturday!
