I'm getting itchy feet and am after switching cars but could do with a little inspiration.

Current fleet

E36 328i Touring Great daily driver, but not exciting when the going gets twisty.
MK Indy R The noise and the kick in the back are tremendous fun, but I don't get to use it enough.

Past cars

…and what I liked about them.

Suzuki Cappuccino Loved going everywhere foot-to-the-floor at 8,500rpm with the roof off.
MR2 Roadster Great handling, convertible was a big bonus.
Mini 1275 GT Sounded glorious, everyone loved it.
Clio 200 Handled like a dream, irresponsibly fast on B-roads, revvy engine.

Other stuff

- I have a dull 10 mile motorway commute.
- I don't need more than 2 seats or much in the way of practicality.
- I have a garage and drive.
- I don't go on track much.
- I do a yearly hoon around Europe.

Options I've considered

- Another Clio 200
- S2000
- Keep the 328, get a stripped-out Clio 172/182
- Keep the 328, get a choicely-upgraded MR2 Roadster
- Clio Trophy
- 135i Coupe
- 996 Carrera 2

Suggestions and recommendations welcome!

A well sorted Griff 500. Fast, Loud, Comfy, Appreciating, Cheap Bits, Good Looks, Reliable, Fun Handling, Classic Insurance, etc etc..

FYI all the above points vary depending on how good an example you buy.
