Evening,
I am well into a clutch/fly/slave cyl rebuild as part of my winter overhaul of the T2S. However the allan bolts that retain the are as tight as bu**ery (as they say in the trade). I am worried that I strip the hex, so are they meant to be very tight. They are currently soaking in release oil.
Any tips appreciated. The rest of the job is going well!
Yours

Meant to say, these are the hex bolts that retain the slave cyl to the bellhousing. The joys of smartphones!!

Could they have been "threadlocked" ?

Heat might not be a good idea in that area but how about trying freeze releasescratchchin

Hit the hex bit repeatedly. You can get shock and unlock from halfrauds.

Thanks lads. Had to drill them out. Frustratingly, when I drilled away the countersunk heads and removed the slave, the threaded part just spun out with my fingers...... Bl**dy things.

I find that if the hex strips out using a slightly oversized torx bit hammered into place normally frees them up.
