Nikon P-510 not charging, any ideas?

Hey guys. I've just discovered my just over 12 months old Nikon P-510 bridge camera isn't charging.

With the battery inserted into the camera and plugged into a mains usb charger the battery light flashes rapidly.

Anyone else had this issue?

I'm hoping a new battery will sort it but wondering whether it could be the charging circuit :-/

Not specifically for this battery but I did manage to bodge a small amount of charge into it from another universal charger I have.

The battery took a charge and the camera is running, so it looks like the charging circuit in the camera may not be working.

Not sure whether Nikon offer 12 month or two year warranty as standard though.

I was looking at this camera and the P520 today and the lack of a separate charger put me off slightly. I did find that Nikon sell a separate charger so that might be worth a go. They seem to be available from other sources as well http://www.amazon.co.uk/Battery-Charger-COOLPIX-Di...
