Has anyone tried this yet? When I was at chatsworth this year I did see quite a few cerbs and chims with the lupo headlights, some fitted really well, some not so well. As discussed many times before on here the Tamora front headlights really age the model and I have been thinking of some kind of change. I have seen the twin lights inside the cover and that may be an option.

Not long ago there was a tamora on the classifieds with Jeep LED lights. Looked pretty cool.
I inquired about installation issues if any but there was no reply.

I did see them but did not know they were from a jeep. Look very nice indeed. Wonder how easy they fit.

Rather than 'really age the model' maybe more of a classic British sports car look?
Buy a Porsche. Please.

I'm afraid the tamora is far too modern for you! Buy griff. Please. wink

I really don't think the Tamora designer was going for classic. Like the rest of the T cars they are uniquely timeless and uncategorizable, other than say "wild". If wilder round lights and the budget had existed at the time I would have thought they would have probably included them.

Then why mess about with its looks?

You've also got 'I really don't think', 'If wilder round lights and the budget had existed', 'I would have thought' and 'would have probably' in there. So just speculation then.

My point is - it is what it is - and if 'uniquely timeless' with only a few hundred in existence, why change that?
(In the interests of full disclosure, the first thing I did after driving at night was get Phillips 40% brighter bulbs in. The ones it came with were little better than candles.)

This isnt exactly a radical change, like the heresy of swapping to a t350 front end.

These lights are different and purists might not like that, but IMO they are not a departure from the design language.
In the tam that was in the classifieds they didnt look shouty at all, or like they dont belong. Hard to see them in daylight through the outer cover, if anything the standard lights look more out of place for being so ordinary in a wild looking car. To me. IMO smile

Thats my Tam - its now sold.

Sorry about the lack of reply... I didnt get a chance to reply to anyone, about the lights, or the car itself.

The image you have is of the wrong model - there is a newer model with integral side lights.

I'll try and find some images.

Thanks

Anyone ever wondered what the Tamora would look like without the Perspex covers? See photo of mine before the covers were stuck on...

Would a similatr upgraqde also work in a T350?
ie replace the light units and then put the perpex covers back on?

Car looks great with out the covers on . I have a few Ideas up my sleeve which I'm currently working on its a small chance but will get rid of the horrible H4 and I hope it annoys the hell out of the purists they are a pain in the ass. It's my car and I'll do what I want with it;)

Hey, that would be much much appreciated, never too late. I was just wondering if it was a plug and play swap.
Do they flicker?
Special harnesses?
Can the swap be done through the wheelwell or do the outer covers need to come off?

I see now that they have a model with side lights. Pricey at £358 each though! They also in chrome surround but Imo the black is cooler when the surround is also back on a light colored car .

Ah am interested in this. I always thought the std lights were a bit traditional but sisnt want to go the way of grafting in new light pods.

I would be very interested to know if the Jeep LED light mod would work on my Tamora.

I have had a look at the back of this Jeep lamp and it has 3 prongs on the back of it with no 'side light' connector unlike the TVR lamp unit.

Does that mean that there is some kind of control unit that would need to operate the Jeep LED unit.

I'm just trying to work out what splicing would need to be done to make this work and if there are other considerations?
