...perhaps one currently sat in the garage with or without a tarp, or perhaps out in the yard aging or weathering not-so-gracefully under rain, snow, and sun (when it shows its head)....
TVR fan is starting their search here looking to recondition/restore one to its former glory smile

It has been a while but I had a Chimp back in 1994 in Antique Turquoise Starmist and blue leather which I ordered through the TVR Centre in Barnet after visiting the TVR stand at the London Motor Show the year before, or maybe even the year before that, and becoming enamoured. Being from the Fylde it was a dream come true visiting the factory to see the chassis and then receiving the car in early '94. Now I wish to make the dream alive again but this time through a Griff looking for some loving care and attention.

I realize a '91 Griff may be hard to find but time time for me right now is not an issue and am happy to start with just about next to nothing more than a valid VIN...of course if I can't find a '91 to start with, then a '92 may do...but not until I have tried to find the '91...

What sort of budget do you have? I have a 92 Griff, in need of a bit of TLC, however it's a good solid car, running with an MOT etc.

Could be a difficult search. Deliveries only really started in earnest from '92, so a '91 car would likely be one of the very few (about 3?) press or show cars. There was a discussion thread on the very first cars, but can't locate it at present, so am happy to be corrected on this.

Obviously this doesn't cover ALL the Griffs still in existence, but it gives you some idea....

Thanks all for the feedback and knowledge. I guess I need to decide now on whether to look at a '92 400 or 430 vs a '93 500....

TVR D. I think at the moment my preference is to find something that probably isn't in running order where I could take my time and bring it back to former glories with a minimal initial outlay. Happy to take all the time needed and if needed start with a completely new chassis and build from there smile

Okay, hope you can find one, there must be a few out there sitting in garages, unloved! I had intentions of bringing my Griff back to full glory, I just don't get the time any more.

I have a 6000-mile John Eales 4.8 engine available if you need one.
