I'm amazed at some of the prices these days. Over £20K for less than half of a DB2/4 Mk I

I was there att the auction and even the auctioneers couldn't believe it. It was two telephone bidders, they just went crazy! Catalogue estimate was £4-6000.

Crazy prices.

They would probably have paid more than £4-6000 just for that chassis plate.

Jesus. This puts something I saw a few years ago into perspective.

The Donington Historic, a guy in a DB2/4 really caning it around, close racing with other cars. Spinning it into the kitty litter in a big way at the old hairpin.

Wonderful to see something like that being used as intended.

I bet his insurers aresehole would have been twitching a bit if he were spectating (assuming you can insure for something like that?)

Those AMOC drivers really go for it.
I was a race meeting at Croft on the Sunday and said to someone that matt black was a strange colour for an Aston.
"That's the car that caught fire yesterday"!
