996.2 GT3CS (RHD) - how many made?

I know there were 28 RHD 996.1 GT3s made, does anyone know how many 996.2 GT3CSs were made?

over 100 996.1 GT3s made for sure (112 ish)

Officially 106 of which 28 were Clubsports - you are wrong to doubt it I am afraid.

The number that you may have been thinking of was the 996RS - the UK is commonly believed to have officially got 113 of those (though I have also seen a source for 117).

The UK number that I have for the 996.2 GT3 is 221 cars in total, but I don't think that I have ever seen a split for Comforts/Clubsports. From experience I very much doubt that the percentage is any higher than that for the 996.1 though - they are almost certainly more scarce than the RS (but not as collectible).

You said that you doubted the 28 number, which was correct and widely known. I said that you were wrong to doubt it...

It,s well wrong, the post did not state CS on the mk1 numbers hence why I quoted that.

The devils in the detail :-).

On the mk2 he does state CS. So why miss out that detail if that's what he ment.

If you are going to ask numbers on these cars you need to state the models correctly.

Both times he stated CS after the mk2, not so on the MK1.

I can't remember where I read it (might have been 911uk?) but I'm sure I saw someone mention there was maybe 40-50 mk2 Club Sports in the UK? No idea if that's anything like accurate?

I didn't realize there were only 221 or so 996 GT3.2s in the UK. Makes me feel very happy to have one - even if it is a 'common' comfort version albeit with bucket seats - and still makes me na member of an exclusive club.

Porsche built 1858 mk1 - 308 RHD (106 GB) cars. That's almost 3x more than the rare RS - 682 built, 140 RHD (113 GB) cars. I don't have the mk 2 figures to hand but I recall 2500 in total built. If 30% are CS option then there will be around 70 mk2 GB cars.

Some confusion here about RHD or GB. The RHD market extends to Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, Cyprus, etc.

Apologies for the confusion, I knew it was 28RHD/GB 996.1GT3CS's that were made, it was the number of RHD 996.2GT3CS's that were made I was unsure of.....I guessed it was more than the earlier model but didn't know by how many!
