Ive been looking for a long time (summer last year) for a 997 GT2 but the right car has never come up. Im also considering Gen2 GT3's now as I'd like to experience that side of coin too.

How long did it take you to find the right car?

Have emailed a few of these specialists so I'll see what they come back with.

In the meantime, anyone thinking of selling?

Can't help with a car but another vote for JZM, I only popped in for a look around whilst in the area and came away with 996.1 GT3. Russ, Rob, Steve and Jonas were all easy to deal with.

The Orange 7.1 RS they have looks fantastic and is bound to be a safe investment, does it have to be a 7.2 ?

Just looking at some old email etc. I sold one of my cars in August last year to make some room, and still not filled the space!

Id be happy with either as I think they're both brilliant in their own rights.

Id say spec wise -

GT3: Folding buckets, Nav, Leather dash, Completely original
GT2: Folding buckets, Nav, Leather dash, Completely original
All colours considered except white - and thats mainly where my problem has been.

Funny white is what I always go for. Anyhow it looks with folding buckets you'll need a gen 2 997 gt3 or a 997 gt2 so 996's are out of the question. They are out there keep looking good luck

I can appreciate the whites but its just not the colour for me.

Yes, both 997's and gen 2 in GT3. Ive probably a better chance of the 'right' GT3 coming up as the GT2's seem to be like hens teeth at the moment. Ive watched the market very closely for the last year - mainly on the 2's and nothing that suited my taste has come up. Ive probably missed a few GT3s as my attention was elsewhere.

On the GT2's, are they all stuck with collectors now or are the owners waiting on the latest derivative to appear ie the 991?

Maybe more to the point people don't wanna sell these great cars once they own them

..Took me a full year to find my GT3,.. but worth the wait, can't wait for the next 1 now.. biggrin

Talk to JZM/RSJ/911V/Paragon.. but what ever you do don't go any where near Hendon and that shower of st operation there that masquerade as professionals and experts.
